The youth soccer U8 program continues to be an in-house (no travel) program. Boys and girls play separately. Typically, teams meet once per week for a one hour practice with games held Saturday mornings. Team shirts are provided as part of the registration fee. Shirts are to be used for both the Fall and Spring season. Players should care for their shirts during the winter "break". Players not returning for the Spring season may of course keep the shirt.
 
Age Group: U8 (1st & 2nd Graders )

Team Size / Formation: Each team consists of a maximum of 12 players (all boys or girls). Based on the registration for the fall and spring season, an attempt is made to keep the same players with each coach for one full soccer year.

Uniform: Team Shirt is included in the registration fee. Players are expected to keep their shirt for use in the spring season as teams are formed for one full soccer year (fall & spring).

Practices / Games: Coaches hold one weekday practice with games occurring on Saturdays. Practice days and times are determined by each coach and will be communicated to each parent prior to the season start. The game schedule is formed by the U8 Coordinator and sent to all U8 coaches within 1 week of season start. Fall program runs for 8 weeks, typically beginning the first Saturday after labor day. Spring program runs for 8 weeks, typically beginning the second Saturday in April. Program start dates can vary depending on many factors, including the weather. Each game will follow the U8 rules.

Practice and Game location: Practices and games will be held at Memorial Field 3 (the far field).

Player equipment: Each player should purchase cleats, shin pads, socks and a water bottle for each practice. Each player needs to provide their own #4 ball
